HOW DO I...?
TALK TO MY DOCTOR BY TELEPHONE?

If you wish to speak to your doctor personally they are usually available at the end of morning surgery. You may be asked to leave a telephone number so that the doctor can call you at a mutually convenient time. Only very urgent calls will be put through to the doctor during surgery hours. If possible please tell the administrator what the call is about so she can review your notes and assess how urgent the situation is.

HOW DO I...?
OBTAIN AN APPOINTMENT?

Consultations with a doctor or nurse is by appointment only.

All appointments can be made with a receptionist either by telephoning the surgery on 01327 340212 or calling at the reception desk. Wherever possible we hope you can see the doctor of your choice, but if you need an urgent appointment that may not be possible.

Non-urgent appointments can also be made via emis access, please click here. To use this service you will need to register at reception.

Cancellations - if you cannot keep an appointment for any reason please telephone us immediately on 01327 340212 as even at short notice we can usually allocate your appointment to another patient.

HOW DO I...?
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Patients who are too ill to attend the surgery will be visited at home. Please give our trained staff some idea of your symptoms so that we can judge the urgency of each call whilst planning the visits. If you can, please TELEPHONE BEFORE 10.30AM FOR HOME VISITS. If it is possible, try to attend the surgery where any investigations or examinations required can be more readily carried out. The visit may be carried out by a doctor, community nurse or a paramedic.

HOW DO I...?
OBTAIN MY TEST RESULTS?

To obtain the result of any test you have had done please ring the surgery after 11.00am on any weekday morning. It is not our normal practice to ring patients with results.

To protect your confidentiality results will only be given to the patient concerned.

The time it takes for a result to come back varies depending on the type of test. The person arranging the test will give you an indication of the length of time for the result to come back.

Do not be alarmed if you are asked to speak to/see a doctor or repeat the test. Our administrators are not trained to interpret results and often tests have to be repeated for technical reasons.
